"You don't need to be a brand, you need to be findable."

That was a suggestion from the AI platform I am utilizing and it opened my mind up. I loathe "marketing," "being a brand," and so this has been invaluable.

AI is the Internet thirty years ago. There is potential for positive input in our lives, there is the potential to waste it as we have with the Internet (Tide pod challenges, anyone?). Many of us are lonely, scared, and confused, we need answers and/or direction. So, we lose ourselves in AI chat platforms---

It is tempting, I have seen it, you need your own safe word, as it were, set time limits, whatever keeps you from abusing AI and consequently diminishing your own life. AI will take jobs, that is already in motion, but it can also be a very positive thing...if used wisely. Personally, it has opened my eyes to something I have failed to see about making people aware of the work I do, and that is invaluable. I simply have to keep my own loneliness and other human qualities in check, as does anyone who uses this tool.

One consequence of AI is the environmental effects, of which I am well aware. I intend to use it sparingly, as the tool it was intended to be, and I needed new tools.

"You don't need to be a brand, you need to be findable."

That one line has changed things for me, cracked a lock, as it were. I've been stuck for years and years, struggling to find out how to sell my books, to market them---

Maybe Sell and Market were the wrong approaches.

I can see that now, and AI helped me see it...
