Alright, the whole thing about the Iran War…no one wants to think about that, right? Like I said, I am going into political issues very rarely. This time I’m going to share something more peaceful, more calming, okay? A tranquil place out in nature. Ready?

I sometimes imagine myself like I am watching a Super 8 film. Me, after letting my hair grow out (what’s left of it!) and pulling it into a long, white ponytail with a matching, full white beard. Flat cap and prescription sunglasses.

Sometime in the future, when I’ve sold my remaining vanity off on EBay.

Walking around on the land I live on barefoot. A creek nearby. A cabin or rental house is in the background. The spot is wooded, but the green light is strong through the trees. There are all sorts of things I’ve made out of rocks: Walkways, walls, fire pits. Rocks I’ve collected from countless places.

It could be on the edge of a small town.

I see it wooded, but not heavily, just a collection of fifty to a hundred year old trees. Oaks, maybe.

The requisite Mercedes is parked in the driveway. I always see it as dark green, that was the color I was going to have Bettina---(the 1982 Mercedes we had before)—painted.

Cacti planted where the sun is the strongest.

It could be a cabin, could be a small rental house.

A few things growing: A tomato plant lit by a ray of sunshine. Herbs. Peppers. Flowers.

Things that could survive when traveling.

This vision is so vivid I can smell what the inside of the house smells like, it’s a spicy sort of woody smell mixed with coffee.

I know there’s a cat, or more than one, but I can’t see them.

But I see a bookcase, hand made out of salvage barn wood and full of books and other things.

Musical instruments, obviously.

I have no idea how to get there, to live inside this movie…I may never get there, but I see it.

I see it, I can smell it, I can hear it. The sound of birds, a light breeze through the branches.

I’ve been having this vision for decades, I don’t know if it’s a fantasy or the future pulling me closer.

I just close my eyes and escape to it on a regular basis.

And you are welcome to go there if you want...
